Many of my works start out with a particular intention/goal in mind but eventually shifts to a totally different one by its completion. Somewhere along the way new ideas, material and techniques will cause that shift. This is one of the first paintings where earlier paintings were cut and recycled into it. One can also see a strong tension created by the geometric lines and shapes against the figurative ones.
