The Aesthetics of Repair: Black Love Matters3-Tony

Tony | Acrylic paint, spray paint, markers, on canvas, 109”hx83”w, 2017-18

A close examination of Tony - Black Love Matters (Series) provides insight into a complex working process. I complete an idea beyond the use of brush and paint by strategically adding texture and through tracing, stenciling and applying intense markings onto the canvas that creates an overall surface of syncopated rhythms and movements.
